War all bloodied eyes can see
pillars of death touch the skies in vain
singed bodies grasping
aimlessly for eternity
sacrificial souls
feed this unending wartime ecstasy
sitting atop this archaic altar of death
infants bodies break under his gaze
a mother's tears down the body of her decaying child
a symphony of this wartime masquerade
falls upon deaf ears
an apocalyptic interlude
composed of notes from human disdain
cruel reign of pain
this reign of pain
reign of pain cruel
they come on bended knee to serve by faith alone
sacrificing lives in a pledge of morbid loyalty
Truth disguised by enchanted
promises of a newfound life
sacrificial sheep line to the slaughtering
for slaughtering a martyrs loyalty
martyrs loyalty pain
the price of faith
die with arms stretched wide
irreverent prayer to the God of War in vain
Graves overflow with the spoils of war
as crimson blood stains the sand
darkness covers the land,
extinguishing the light of mournful days
eternal night will burn
All will burn
all will burn
as they fall to their knees, eyes bound to the malevolent throne
from this war none will return
Sacrifice not will return
battlefield cries quench an
insatiable lust for destruction
damned souls pour into the endless bowels of hell
desire for ceaseless pleading crimson rain
journey to his throne comprised of the bones of decaying masses
incessant screams of suffering
accompany the hostile march towards the downfall of humanity
to play the pawns of men in guarantee of his next victory

Mental Cruelty's third album has brought a surprise of musical change. While they kept some of their Slamming Deathcore music, other elements were mostly added that sounded Lorna Shore-esque: a haunting symphonic atmosphere and diabolical Black Metal melodies. I believe that this album attracts me more than their previous albums. the-cool-fox

Blackened Deathcore, something I never thought I'd be into.... but God, is the subgenre killing these past few years. Worm shepherd brings so much of the Blackened elements to the table. This album is killer and brutal as sin. highly recommended. Abyssius Murkraken

I am more a melodeath guy than deathcore, but I enjoy all the symphonic elements or rythym changes. This album is a BLAST omg my neck hurt, so much headbang🤘🤘 olive855
