Drowning in these thoughts
Every day pulling me deeper into the madness
Searching for the answers
To unknown questions of my mind
If I could only comprehend what I need
To stop the tightening of the noose
As every moment I inch closer to the edge
Begging for the sweet embrace of finality
Falling until the unknown
Knowing there is only pain on the other side
Sharpening the blade of desire
As it glistens with icy tears
Drawing crimson sorrow with each dark thought
The end of this eternity you had promised
As painful as the first laceration
Dead ideas lined up like colorful capsules
Ready for the final gasping breath
A lifetime's passion
Painlessly fading away in a single intoxicating cocktail
Endless ways to ease the pain
The loss of hope
The death of the soul
The sands of time whisk through the air
Like lifeless messengers of doom
Yet their jagged delivery offers no respite
From the painful sting of heartbreak
Betrayal a serrated blade causing damage
Creating unbearable agony with each movement
No greater weapon of destruction proved to cause such deadly devastation
To the soul
Trust once begged for like a thirst for water in a barren desert
Thrown aside to decay as any long forgotten gem
The price for giving one's heart away to another is high
A dowry for a cherished bride unable to be fulfilled
Dead ideas lined up like colorful capsules
Ready for the final gasping breath
A lifetime's passion
Painlessly fading away in a single intoxicating cocktail
Endless ways to ease the pain
The loss of hope
The death of the soul

Mental Cruelty's third album has brought a surprise of musical change. While they kept some of their Slamming Deathcore music, other elements were mostly added that sounded Lorna Shore-esque: a haunting symphonic atmosphere and diabolical Black Metal melodies. I believe that this album attracts me more than their previous albums. the-cool-fox

Blackened Deathcore, something I never thought I'd be into.... but God, is the subgenre killing these past few years. Worm shepherd brings so much of the Blackened elements to the table. This album is killer and brutal as sin. highly recommended. Abyssius Murkraken

I am more a melodeath guy than deathcore, but I enjoy all the symphonic elements or rythym changes. This album is a BLAST omg my neck hurt, so much headbang🤘🤘 olive855
